I have a Ph.D. in Theatre History & Criticism from UT Austin, and I've been teaching writing (in grad school & since) for ten years. Now that I'm a New Media Specialist in a Center for Writing, I'm always looking for ways to get students' hands on technology that will help them think about HOW they make choices as writers that are best tailored to meet the needs of their projects/audiences. I'm also ALWAYS looking for ways to bring elements of performance into the writing classroom, and new media is often ideal for that. (i.e. Assigning videos/podcasts, having students annotate videos by screencasting, etc....but I'm sure there's so much more!)
